COVID-19 UPDATE

March 26, 2020

D&L Oil Tools is committed to keeping our customers’ needs met during these trying times.  Nothing is more important to D&L than the health and safety of our employee family.  As we all try to navigate through these troubling time and attempt to find a new normal, we want to update everyone on what we have been doing since the COVID-19 pandemic began it’s grasp on the world.

When the pandemic began in China, the D&L purchasing department went into action to confirm our supply chain would not be interrupted.  D&L Oil Tools is in Tulsa, OK USA and has been producing equipment 100% in the USA for all 29 years we have been in business.  Because of our commitment to quality, D&L is not reliant on products sourced globally.  Most of our suppliers are within the USA.  While we understand the effects of the virus have greatly increased across the US, please know we have continued to stay in contact and have received confirmation from the majority of our suppliers (including all critical ones) that our supply chain remains unaffected.

Several weeks ago, we implemented our remote workplace protocols.  All D&L employees who can, are currently working from the comfort and safety of their own homes.  Abiding by the United States Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, we have spread our employee population across two shifts evenly, ensuring there is ample room between the roughly 45 employees (on each shift) throughout our 160,000 square foot (14,850 square meter) manufacturing facility.  Of course, we have also increased both our professional and in-house cleaning and sanitizing routines.

On March 24, the Governor of Oklahoma issued a 21-day closure of all non-essential businesses in Tulsa county.  Rest assured, D&L IS considered an essential business as defined by the Federal Government of the United States. This designation will also apply to our supply chain.

These are trying times, but we have become accustomed to the cycle of the industry.  D&L is committed to continuing service to our customers, while keeping our family of employees safe and healthy.  As information changes significantly on a daily basis, we will be certain to issue further updates as needed.  Please do not hesitate to contact your salesman or myself directly if you have any further questions regarding D&L operations though this troubling time.
